The Alella wine region
Located just 14 kilometres from Barcelona, the wine region is considered the cradle of Spanish winemaking: the science and art of winemaking arrived here with the Romans in the 1st century AD. The proximity of the Mediterranean Sea not only made the area an important commercial stopover, but the wind and sea also nourished - and still nourish - the land, which has a special microclimate and is surrounded by mountains. The juicy grapes grown in the so-called " sauló" soil produce wines of exceptional quality and unique flavours.
Surviving the storms of history, the wine industry has continued to flourish, based on local grape varieties such as Pansa Blanca, Garnacha Blanca and Negra, Picapoll and Monastrel.
The Bouquet d'Alella family winery, now in its fifth generation, offers a true Spanish gastronomic experience. Learn about the winemaking process from harvesting to bottling in the winery, founded in the 15th century, and then enjoy the special wines and food offered by the winery in pleasant company.
The property is spread over 14 hectares of vineyards planted over 40 years ago. They are currently cultivated using organic methods in the DO Alella region. The vineyards are located on the typical soils of the Saulo and are divided into staggered plots in the municipalities of Alella, Teià, Cabrils and Vilassar de Dalt.
Half of the vineyards are located close to the sea, where they benefit from the sun and the Mediterranean breeze, while the remaining parcels are located in the highest parts of the Serralada Litoral Park. Here the temperatures are cooler and the temperature fluctuations between day and night are more pronounced, giving the grapes a special character.

14:45: transfer back to Barcelona city centre by bus.
15:30: arrival in downtown Barcelona.

While tasting wines made from local grapes, you can prepare your own authentic paella.
The chef prepares this traditional Spanish dish live, while you can follow the process and enjoy the flavours.

09:00: meet at Barcelona Port Vela, from here we sail to Badalona port. Water, soft drinks, white wine and tapas will be served during the approximately one and a half hour cruise.
10:30: arrival at the Port Badalona
10:45: arrival by minibus to the Bouquet D'Alella winery.
11:00 - 11:45: introduction to the winery by a qualified guide.
11:45 - 14:30: wine tasting (4 types of wine) and cooking with the master chef, which we will enjoy together.
l4:45: departure back to Barcelona by minibus.
